Monika Elmont
Actor. Collaborator. Artist.
Big Hair with Lots of Flare
From LA to Seattle, and back to LA again, I'm a lil wildcat that packs a punch! My name is Monika Elmont (she/they). I am a Queer, Jewish and funky-fresh babe since birth who stuck out like a sore thumb in my hometown of Culver City AKA The Film City.
At 16 years old, I came across the hit TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyways?”, caught the acting bug and left my near decade-long career in competitive dance. A classically-trained actor: I have a BFA in Theater from Cornish College of the Arts, with a concentration in Original Works.
I am a current Board Member with Rain City Projects, helping shine some light on Pacific Northwest Playwrights. I invite the difficult and hard work that goes into creating vulnerability in the stories artists share. The opportunity to be open and present is what the soul yearns for: the chance to access humanity.
Since moving back to L.A. I Co-Founded the sketch comedy group 'It's Just Us and friends' where my friends and I, write, act, direct, edit, and post original content!

"Monika Elmont provides an arresting take on Elvira: playing her something like a grand classical tragedienne, dignified and imperious in diction and carriage but red-hot in emotionalism, like she’d just dropped in from a 1910 production of Medea."
Gavin Borchert
